With a wealth of Government and private sector experience to draw on, Craig’s ability to think independently and act decisively is a significant asset to the Saturn Advice business.
Craig has worked as a diplomat, economist, investment banker and CEO. He has authored reports for the Government on “The Taxation of Investment Income”, chaired the Government’s International Financial Services Development group in 2010, and chaired the Establishment Board of the Local Government Funding Agency in 2011. Craig is a professional director and entrepreneur including as a shareholder and Chairman of Saturn Portfolio Management Limited.
As Chairman of Saturn Advice, Craig works closely with our Managing Director, John McConnell, to ensure the interests of our stakeholders are carefully considered and responsibly managed.
Outside work, after a number of years mountaineering in NZ and overseas, he continues to be a keen cross-country and downhill skier, sailor and ocean swimmer. He also enjoys drama and literature and is a long-time supporter of Otago rugby and the Highlanders. Finally he is Chair of the Waitaki Boys High School Foundation, and is a Taumata of Otago University’s Business School.
